Colorado Aerial Photography & Mapping is owned and operated by Kent Raney. Kent has been a professional aerial photographer since 2003. The company is headquartered in the Denver, Colorado area and provides high quality aerial photography services in the Rocky Mountain and high plains regions. Nationwide service is available through our affiliation with a network of other professional aerial photographers. Kent is an FAA licensed Airline Transport Pilot with over 37 years of flying experience and is also an FAA certified UAS pilot, which allows him to operate drones for commercial purposes under Federal Aviation Regulations part 107.

The Ideal Aerial Photo Platform
Our aircraft is the ideal aerial photo platform. It’s high wing design with no wing struts and retractable landing gear enables an unobstructed view of the ground below.
A camera port is installed in the floor for vertical photography. With a cruise speed approaching 200mph, we can get to the photo site quickly.
The turbocharged engine enables us to safely fly above the highest of Colorado’s mountains.

Some subjects are best photographed at low level utilizing a drone. We use drones manufactured by DJI, the leader in the drone industry.
Canon Professional Cameras & Lenses
All of our aircraft based photography is taken with the 50 megapixel Canon 5Ds digital SLR camera and “L” series professional grade image stabilized lenses.
